The Fox River Grove Fire Protection District welcomes groups–school classes, scouts, special needs groups, church groups, and the like–to tour our station at 411 Algonquin Road.
Firehouse tours can include a short film, dress up demonstration by a firefighter, and a visit to the apparatus bay to see department vehicles.
In keeping with the department’s Child Safety Policy, groups should have appropriate adult chaperones and will be hosted by at least two firefighters. A visit might have to be terminated if the department must respond to an emergency call. Your understanding of this prioritization is appreciated.
Fire station tours should be scheduled at least seven days in advance by calling the station (847-639-9232). If a special emphasis during the visit is desired–like a CPR demonstration–please make that request when the visit is schedule. Members of the department will try to accommodate your request. Visitors to our station are always welcome.
